College is a Time

The main reason that college students are failing their classes (or not doing as well as they would like) is that they do not go to class in the first place. In order to be productive, college students should really try to wake up early and make all of their classes. But while in class, it would be helpful to listen. The professor is going to be talking about things pertinent to the next exam, and the information builds on itself, so there’s no reason to think that you can learn the information on your own the night before the test (maybe you could, but then you’re not most people). The key is incremental learning, something that many students aren’t really familiar with, because they feel the need to follow their high school tendencies and continue cramming. It doesn’t work. Learning the information by going to class and approaching the problems and systems systematically and step by step is a 100% guaranteed winner.
